Redevelopment Attorney – Large NJ & PA Regional Law Firm (2005-6)

My work focused on private and public sector clients Redevelopment Agreements, Tax Exemptions and Financial Agreements. This included due diligence reviews of redevelopment regulatory compliance, including technical review of government approvals, scrutiny of real estate transfer documentation and real property law issues.

The NJ Highway Authority needed to complete real property transfer documentation for the Secaucus exchange, a multi-million dollar, multi-agency, multi-modal transportation project. To meet that need, I drafted transfer documents, including permanent, slope and construction easements, grants of air rights and deeds. In another matter involving an easement and permit approval issues, I reviewed title documentation, researched legal issues and created an analysis of potential riparian grants and claims.

My legal reviews of condemnation appraisal reports were used in condemnation matters. I created an RFP process for compliance when a municipal housing authority needed to hire an appraiser shortly after New Jersey’s implementation of the “Pay to Play” law, which required a change in local government contracting procedures. I also worked on a public utility’s litigation defense and acquisition due diligence matters.
