Housing Development Project Manager at New Jersey Housing Finance Agency (1977-78)

My responsibilities focused on creating and then performing due diligence on closing files for HUD Section 8 subsidized, tax-exempt, bond-financed housing projects. I was given the additional duty of helping to create the first post-casino subsidized housing in Atlantic City and closed that project in record time.

My managers gave me the authority to successfully coordinate a statewide application to HUD for additional housing subsidies for urban areas. This included working with the development officials in nine major cities and resulted in the award, to seven cities, of subsidies for a total 3,000 Section 8 housing units.
